Door to Door
You might need to arrange a taxi or specialist transport service to take you from where you live directly to where you need to go. This is known as a door to door service.
Accessible Transport 4U is a not for profit and community interest company that provides door to door accessible transport.
If you travel by bus or train there are websites that can provide more information about how you can use transport for less money and even free of charge.
The Traveline South West website also provides timetables and maps of bus stops and train stations.

Safe Places – A Safe Place is somewhere you can go to if you are lost or frightened when you are out in the community.
If you have access to your own vehicle there are schemes that can help:
– The Government operates a Blue Badge Scheme for easier parking.
– Information about Disabled Parking Spaces in North Somerset.
– Motability helps disabled people exchange their mobility allowance for a new car, mobility scooter or electric wheelchair.
If you are travelling around North Somerset or other parts of the United Kingdom you may need to use the toilet in safety and comfort.
