NEW Monthly All Ability Cricket sessions for people aged 14 – 24
All Ability Cricket sessions will be held each month on a Tuesday with effect from the 17th October 2017 at Hutton Moor Leisure Centre, Weston-super-Mare. New multi-sports group: Starting Thursday 5 January – Portishead
A new multi-sports club for people with learning disabilities (16+). A weekly session of fun-filled fitness and sports games, Thursdays, 11am – 12.30pm, at Parish Wharf Leisure Centre, Portishead. £5.
New tennis activity: Starting Saturday 14 January – Clevedon
A new, regular, group learning disability tennis sessions will take place on Saturdays, 1 – 2pm, at Clevedon Lawn Tennis Club, Princes Road, Clevedon, BS21 7SY.
Training workshop: Wednesday 25 January – Weston-super-Mare
Aimed at disability support workers, buddies, club volunteers, developing coaches. Specialist training designed to improve the skills and confidence of those who support disabled people to be more active – a creative and informal development opportunity. It is for those who support disabled people of all ages within the community, and can put the training into practice. The workshop is free and will take place at Weston College (Knightstone Campus) on Wednesday 25 January, 6 – 9pm.

The Burley Inclusive Wednesday Social Club is a free group designed for young adults with learning disabilities in North Somerset to socialise with new and old friends. It takes place every Wednesday from 11:30 am – 3:30 pm at the Vintage Community Church (Purple Sheep Centre) 25 Hughendon Road, Weston-Super-Mare, BS23 2UR.

If you have a learning disability, are aged over 45 and are in North Somerset, a new group has been set up to give you the chance to meet new friends and talk about things to people of the same age. The group will meet for it’s first meeting on the 17th January 2017 at The Motex Equipment and Demonstration Centre, Winterstoke Road, Weston-Super-Mare, BS23 3YW 2:30 – 4 pm.
